The City of Farmington, AR is accepting applications for the position of
Fire Chief. The Fire Chief is an exempt, administrative position that
performs command and administrative functions. General areas of responsibility
include the oversight and support of preparedness, supervision of a blended
department of fulltime and volunteer firefighters, scheduling, departmental
short and long-term planning, budget development and operation, statistical
tracking and reporting, and other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications
include: graduation from high school or equivalent, bachelors degree in Fire
Technology, Fire Engineering, Public Administration, Management, Business
Administration, or a related field preferred. Ten years of suppression and fire
prevention experience including 5 years at a significant and increasingly
responsible administrative level. Salary will be commensurate with experience
